We would also advise contacting the grants team to discuss your project ideas before applying, particularly as this fund is quite limited in terms of the amount of money available to distribute per year.
Brief Description
This Fund has been established by the Freemasons of Derbyshire Provincial Grand Charity to support community life and tackle disadvantage across Derbyshire by supporting community and voluntary groups and charities.
Priority is currently given to activities and groups that are working to:
- promote the advancement of health and well being
- prevent or relieve poverty
- support the most vulnerable in our communities such as children and young people, the elderly and isolated or individuals with mental health problems or disabilities
- enhance the quality of life for people living in our local communities

Additional Exclusions
If you have received a grant for your group's core /ongoing running costs (i.e rent, transport etc) you will need to wait a period of 18 months before re-applying for the same costs.

Amount
The maximum grant is currently £1,000.
Closing Dates
There are no fixed closing dates. The decision making panel meet three times per year.
Examples of grants made:
- £1,000 towards the cost of a disabled ramp for a community village hall
- £950 towards the furnishing and decoration of a family room at a local hospice
